Day of Silence Guide for Educators

Silence can be deafening.

That’s why every year, thousands of students across the country pledge to remain silent for one whole day. Their goal is to call attention to the stifling effects of anti-LGBT bullying and harassment. And their silence will be heard.

Watch the short video, above, to understand the event, what students may do during the Day of Silence, and how you as an educator can support them.

Then visit and share the Day of Silence site for student resources and more!

Show your support. Without saying a word.
