Gay-Straight Alliances (GSAs) are student clubs that work to improve school climate for all students, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.

States with Safe Schools Laws
Only 17 states and the District of Columbia protect students from bullying, harassment, or discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, while 1 additional state provide protection for sexual orientation only.
