GLSEN Connecticut's Student Organizing Team
These student leaders have put their passion for safe schools advocacy into action!
The Student Organizing (Org.) Team is composed of bright, energetic, and dedicated Gr. 6-12 student leaders from all across the state who are committed to making their schools safer for ALL students, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity/expression.
Our main goal is to educate students about LGBTQ issues in schools and empower them to create social change through advocacy and safe schools organizing. We principally do this by facilitating a series of student-led workshops at the True Colors Conference on Friday, March 21, and Saturday, March 22, 2014 and our chapter's annual Safe School Summits (more info. about our next one TBA!).
If you would like to either learn more about the team or come to a meeting, please e-mail Alberto Cifuentes, Jr., Student Org. Adult Coordinator, at email@example.com.
To join for the 2014-15 school year, please fill out our application at http://connecticut.glsen.org/soappFY15. You will then be invited to an upcoming meeting to meet our current and graduating student leaders!
