GLSEN Massachusetts offers opportunities for short-term and long-term internships in our Boston office. Interns may join GLSEN on an academic schedule: for the entire year, for a semester, or for the summer. Internships generally require 7 to 12 hours of work per week and are unpaid unless the intern is eligible for federal work-study.
To apply for a GLSEN Massachusetts internship, please send your resume along with a brief cover letter explaining why you want to intern at GLSEN and what you hope to contribute to the organization.
GLSEN Massachusetts needs volunteers: Please join our team! As you well know, schools are the testing grounds where students define themselves and brand
others. When not consistently challenged, hate language can pollute classrooms and corridors, reinforcing invisibility and isolation. Building a safe school environment takes years and requires multiple strategies.
Our volunteers are critical to achieving our mission of assuring that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. Volunteers organize our annual conference, design our materials, maintain our website, conduct schools assessments, train teachers, and solicit donations for our programs; indeed, they power our organization. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
The volunteer application is available here.
