Pride 2025
Pride is more than just a month of celebrations and recognition of the LGBTQ+ community. It’s a protest and a fight for equality. It’s collaboration and support across other marginalized communities. It’s for our future and our safety. This Pride season, we continue our mission to create safe and inclusive schools for our LGBTQ+ youth, and we encourage you to unite as a community and Unite for Pride and Rise Up for LGBTQ+ youth.
In June 2025, GLSEN envisions a vibrant, united LGBTQ+ community that celebrates its unique identities and diverse voices, harnessing our collective power to ignite a movement for lasting social and educational justice.
TAKE ACTION:
We want to hear from you.
At a time when 1 in 10 adults and 1 in 5 Gen Z youth identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, our voices cannot be ignored. Strengthened by our unity, we are more powerful than ever.
This Pride, we want to showcase the unique voices of our community about what Pride means to them.
Share your story about one (or more) of these prompts and we might share it with our network. It might show up on our social channels, in an email, on a postcard, or on our website.
All submissions will remain anonymous, unless otherwise specified by the submitter.

Wear your Pride
Whether it's wearing a button or shirt or sharing a digital poster, we are creating symbols of hope that can spread the word far and wide to show we are here, and we will rise up for LGBTQ+ youth.
Take the Rise Up for LGBTQ+ youth pledge today
I pledge to advocate for safe learning environments where young people, their teachers, and school staff are free from the violence of racism, transphobia, homophobia, sexism, ableism, and all forms of systemic oppression.
I pledge to advocate for LGBTQ+ affirming books, resources, and curriculum in schools.
I pledge to rise up against hateful anti-LGBTQ+ bills and rhetoric.
Every pin represents a zip code with at least one affirming advocate for LGBTQ+ youth. Take the pledge today and add your community to the map.
